Hahaha. Imagine if this was actually in the final cut.
Oh my, this is just lovely! A bit of cooking, a bit of history, a bit of story, what’s not to like? Feels like she’s the cook teaching me, the new kitchen maid haha.
Serge Lutens, an exploration into the provenance for his passion with black, noir, and how it pertains to everything in life. It’s fascinating to listen to him delve into his black pool and come out still be a mystery.
“I study my own stuff more than other people’s which is a terrible admission of some kind of ego, but that’s how I feel I can make progress by setting the mistakes and successes of my past."

“I had all and then most of you, some and now none of you”
<3 <3 <3 My heart wells up once again.
“Dirty Girls,” filmed by Michael Lucid in Spring of 1996. Thirteen year old’s, my god. A fascinating mini-doc recording scratch-the-surface opinions against this group of girls who wear and do what they like along with the girls own views on being superficially judged and what is socially and morally acceptable. It brings up the question of what is ugly. They knew less than they thought they did but they also knew and understood more than others thought. They’re simultaneously awkward and confident, weak and strong, filled with low and high self-esteem, naivete and wisdom. The beauty is the honesty and sense of freedom in their questions concerning their milieu and enacting what they believed.
